Second edition, 24mo in 8's; text in the Italian original in italics on versos and in French in roman letter on the recto leaves; bound in full citron morocco by Trautz-Bauzonnet; modern bookplate with initials HOV inside front board; 4 1/2 x 2 7/8 in.

Bruto's work on the instruction of young girls is dedicated to Mariette Catanea, the daughter of an Italian merchant from Antwerp. A trilingual edition was published in 1598 which included an English translation.
